Not So Long Ago In A Village Not So Far Away...
PROBLEM CHILD BREWING, PARBOLD'S FIRST EVER MICROBREWERY; EST. 2013

Jonny Birkett likes nothing better than a quality, flavourful beer. So much so, he built a brewery to capture the flavours from his imagination.
That brewery was, naturally, built where Jonny and his wife (and business partner) Rachel lived just next to
The Wayfarer. Don't worry, she was in on the plan!
In fact the brewery's name, Problem Child Brewing, is named after her. Born and bred in Parbold, Rachel wandered afar as a Problem Child in her teens, now home and brewing happily!
From The Taps
PCB @ THE WAYFARER
Since the Problem Child microbrewery is on site, naturally we have anywhere between 2 to 5 of Jonny's unique, hand-crafted beers on tap at any time! There's a board above the bar describing each beer, and you can always ask our team to learn a bit more about the tipple on the taps.
Driven By Passion
EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM CHILD BREW TODAY!
We think everyone should try Jonny's beers. Sure, we may be biased, but (and don't tell him we said this) they are actually very tasty. We like to think it's his passion that goes into making these cask conditioned ales so good, and we’d love you to sample his magic!
Bottles can be purchased either in a wholesale case of 12, a gift box of 3, or a box of 6. Cans are also available in assorted gift boxes. Come see our beer shop inside The Wayfarer and ask one of our team, or you can buy online via our beer shop.*
We also do bag-in-boxes, where fresh beer is taken from the cask and sealed in the bag ready to drink immediately. This is only available by contacting beer@problemchildbrewing.co.uk in advance, for collection only.
*18+ only. As an independent family brewer, we are committed to safe and responsible drinking.

Trade Sales
Barrels are available for wholesale to local real ale pubs throughout Lancashire, Wigan, & Greater Manchester in 9 gallon firkin or 4.5 gallon pins.
If you are interested in having a Problem Child beer on your bar, Jonny would love to hear from you on 01257 464600 or 07588 736926 or beer@problemchildbrewing.co.uk.
